Creating Personal Sanctuary Through Art:
Peace, Beauty, and Meaningful Engagement.

The things we surround ourselves with matter

Creating personal sanctuary means more than ever in times of constant upheaval. Divisions and disinformation on social media, pandemic waves, politics, war, climate change, notifications demanding our attention, and society's pressure to keep up fill our every moment. A lifetime of reflection and practice has led me to this: I want to live a life grounded in peace, beauty, and meaningful engagement. Are my thoughts, actions, or what I am consuming adding peace and beauty? Is what I am engaged in meaningful? This filter serves me well in the studio or kitchen, with family or friends, indoors and out.

You can create your own personal sanctuary in your home, business, or place of work. The things we surround ourselves with matter, things we touch and see every day can provide a focus of serenity. That might be a piece of art, a lovely practical object, or some calming words of reflection and music. Peace, beauty, and meaningful engagement are the foundation of joy.

Meet Debra Hille

This is my invitation: bring peace into your being; manifest beauty in your world; and seek meaning as you engage more deeply in life, love, and connection. Together, we can build a foundation for joy, for ourselves and all those around us.
